Welcome to the Next Steps Private Group. We’re so glad you’re here! This is a private, inclusive community of job-selectors from all walks of life. While this is open to people in all geographical locations, it is geared towards those who work for companies that are based in the U.S. The group is led by an expert Career Coach whose expertise comes from over 20 years in HR and Recruiting.

This is a place for us to learn from each other, support and encourage each other. We promote kindness and we trust that all our members will continue to hold themselves and each other accountable to the highest standard, keeping this community welcoming, inclusive, and valuable for everyone.

Despite our unique characteristics and differences, one thing we all have in common is the desire to take the next step in our professional journey. These guidelines are in place to ensure that this group remains a welcoming, helpful, and positive place for everyone.

The job search and job selection processes are complex and they become more complex as those processes continue to change and evolve. This group allows us to learn about techniques and tools that can help us succeed in these next steps.

When Using Our Platform

We are excited you are here! We welcome your feedback, questions, and comments to improve our group and website to meet your needs and the needs of other job-selectors. This group and platform are in their early stages, which is why you have been grandparent-ed into the introductory price while we grow this group together.

As a 20+ year HR and Recruiting veteran, I know what the recruiters and hiring teams are looking for and I know how to help you stand out in this very tough job market. But I appreciate your feedback about what you need from this group. I appreciate your comments to help make this everything you need to aid you in taking those next steps in your professional journey.

Celebrate Wins

Acknowledge and celebrate your progress and accomplishments, no matter how small they might seem. We're all here to grow and learn together. We encourage you to share your success stories, as well as your challenges. This helps to inspire others, provides learning opportunities, and builds a sense of community.

Encourage Each other

We're here to learn from and support each other. Engage with others by responding to posts, asking questions, and providing support. Your active participation makes this community stronger.

Participate Actively

An engaged community thrives on active participation. We encourage you to share your thoughts, ask questions, offer advice, and participate in group activities like discussions, Q&A sessions, etc.

Engage Constructively

When commenting on posts or starting a discussion, always aim to add value. Offer help, and share personal experiences or resources that could benefit others. Constructive criticism is allowed, but it should be presented positively and helpfully.

Engage with your Career Coach

Join our events

Our team enjoys hosting events to help you further your skills and expertise! We ask that you remain respectful to our hosts and members. When joining a call to avoid background noise as the hosts kick off the session, please leave your audio muted. Please use the “Raise Hand” feature or politely share in the chat if you have a question or comment.

Provide context

We love it when our members share links and resources. If you do, add some commentary or give us some context to understand why you care about this particular topic, article, video, etc. Bring your unique genius to the table.

We reserve the right

Next Steps Admin reserves the right to flag posts that violate these guidelines. Multiple violations will result in disciplinary actions that may entail warnings leading up to and including termination. If you think there is a post, comment, or other content that is inappropriate, spam, etc., please notify me at angela@mynextstep.biz. An Admin will review the post. If the content violates our member guidelines, it will be removed.
